Gilthead bream, named for its gold or yellow forehead spot, are long-bodied with silvery-grey to silvery-white coloration. Its white, flaky, sweet flesh is prized, making it ideal for grilling, filleting, baking, or steaming.

Gilthead bream gets its name from the distinctive gold or yellow spot located on its forehead, which sets it apart from other sea bream species. These fish have an elongated body with a silvery-grey or bluish-green coloration on their upper side, transitioning to a silvery-white belly.
Gilthead bream is celebrated for its delectable, white and flaky flesh, which has a mild, sweet flavour. This combination of taste and texture makes it a popular choice for a variety of dishes, whether grilled whole, filleted, baked, or steamed. The Mediterranean region, in particular, has a long history of incorporating gilthead bream into its traditional cuisine, with dishes such as “Dorada a la Sal” (salt-baked gilthead bream) being a well-known favourite.
Each package in your order is labelled with the name of the vessel, or group of vessels, responsible for catching your fish, along with the their home port in Cornwall.
Delivery is free on orders over £50.
Orders placed before 10pm Monday – Wednesday arrive 48 hours after. Orders placed Thursday -Sunday are delivered on Wednesday.
£8.95 postage fee applies on orders under £50 that contain chilled goods.
