Turbot is the king of fish. This species is has a rounded diamond-shaped body, which is typically brown on the upper side and white on the underside. The turbot is known for its impressive size, with some individuals growing up to 3 feet in length.
Turbot is celebrated for its firm, meaty texture and delicate sweet taste, making it a highly sought-after fish in high-end cuisine. It may be filleted, cooked whole or in steaks. It is said to mature after a couple of days and improve in flavour, however, we supply directly from the harbour and you may choose to eat it immediately, or wait. Turbot can be prepared in a variety of ways, including grilling, poaching, steaming, or pan-searing, and it pairs well with a range of seasonings and sauces.
Each package in your order is labelled with the name of the vessel, or group of vessels, responsible for catching your fish, along with the their home port in Cornwall.
Delivery is free on orders over £50.
Orders placed before 10pm Monday – Wednesday arrive 48 hours after. Orders placed Thursday -Sunday are delivered on Wednesday.
£8.95 postage fee applies on orders under £50 that contain chilled goods.
