Shellfish — Local and Beyond
Our crab, lobster, and langoustines are landed by local fishermen along the Cornish coast. Mussels and oysters come from carefully managed beds in the Fal estuary and nearby waters. We also source quality prawns and other shellfish from further afield when they meet our standards.
Shellfish availability is shaped by tides, weather, and seasonal closures that protect breeding stocks. We source what’s available and sustainable, updating our online shop each day to reflect the current catch. When conditions allow, you’ll find live lobster and brown crab alongside picked white crabmeat, shell-on prawns, and more.
We prepare all shellfish in-house. Crabs are cooked and dressed by hand in our Falmouth kitchen. If you’re new to cooking shellfish, our product pages include storage and preparation notes to help you get the best results at home.
